JackBox Game
The JackBox game I played with my partner in my Game Design Studies class was CHAMP’D UP. It was at the last minute that I remembered to take a screenshot. In this game, we need to draw and compete our drawing with other players. The person who gets the most votes will have the highest score and win the game. The mechanics for this game is voting, drawing, and matching.
During the play, I had a very good score in the first and second round. It was very fun to see other players’ drawing too because I can steal some of their ideas in my next drawing. There is only one or two audience who did not play the game with us. However, when two players are competing their drawings, the rest of the players are the audience too. When we went through several rounds, I started to predict my audience’s preferences and draw things that I believe will get more votes. When I spent my time coming up with interesting ideas, I was annoyed by the timer and had no enough time to draw something I satisfied with. I was beaten and got the fifth ranking at the end. It is a fun game to relax myself and socialize with new friends.
